Ze Cocktail Partay Aftermath!
[Sometimes, things work out perfectly well.
They'd managed to successfully say goodbye to their hosts, upholding an incredibly professional appearance at least until they left the building. He might have snuck in a few touches of his hand against Riza's over his arm on the way home, and the conversation took on a much more relaxed air.
He paused just outside her apartment, glancing up-- and then back at her trying to gauge the mood because he really wasn't sure if it was something she still wanted to do. This was a big deal, even if it was just tea.]

Today, she certainly wasn't lonely, but she was a little scared. Riza had to remind herself though that she and Roy had known each other for so long, that they had built so much trust, faith, and loyalty between them, that surely, they would still be there for each other no matter what happens.
She probably took extra care in closing the tea pot's lid, the porcelain connecting with a minimal clink. Riza could almost feel the air shift as Roy moved behind her, until she felt his hands on her, and then him against her back. And when he spoke, it felt as if his voice resonated in her and it sent tremors through her skin. It was that warmth again, and she sighed, closing her eyes, her hands wrapping about Roy's and leaning into his embrace just so, the back of her head against his shoulder. ]
Three minutes for a perfect brew.
[ Being in Roy's arms like that, Riza realized, was just like being in her favorite quilt -- warm, comfortable, and homely. ]
Any longer and it'll be bitter and lukewarm.
[ She wasn't exactly looking forward to a reason to remove herself from such a comfortable position, but Riza wouldn't want to serve her superior officer subpar tea. ]

It might have come as a surprise to many people, but there was nowhere he felt more content with his social life, as those moments when Riza was there with him. It didn't matter if the others were with them, or even if they were alone in the office, but just knowing that she was right there had given him a strength he'd needed to keep going.
He was comfortable now, although perhaps a dash of his own variety of scared to go with it - but this was what he wanted, and he was sure she wanted it too, because he'd seen Riza turn down plenty of people and it didn't happen like this. Trusting her to know her own mind was what helped him feel sure.]
Three minutes.
[The murmur was there, right against her cheek where he'd dipped his head, but he made no move to let go of her, simply let his lips drop into that space against her neck, kissing once whilst his fingers spread where they lay resting against her stomach - freeing up space for her own between them.]

Like Roy, she couldn't feel quite at ease in one place without him around, or at least, knowing where he was, or hearing the sound of his voice. Having separated from their team, and ultimately, from him, had been one of the most tense moments in their lives and she was thankful that that had come to pass and will most likely never happen again.
But with having him so near, it was easier to chase away those specters of the past. ]
--mmh... keep track, will you?
[ Just a little humorous jab, but Riza's voice came hushed, if a bit breathless, as her fingers found their space between Roy's. It was as if they had done this plenty of times already. In dreams and idle fantasy, perhaps, but never acted upon, never spoken of.
They have held conversations over the phone many times; Roy had been flirty with her as Elizabeth, but to have him speak to her like that made her feel sinful -- and it was a sin she would never repent for.
Unwittingly, Riza pressed her backside snugly against Roy's hip, as her hand found its way to the side of his face, encouraging his touches and kisses. ]
no subject
There were other things going through his head now, things fuelled by an act so simple as the gentle shift of her body against him. Tea was suddenly the second last thing on his mind, and he wondered if perhaps it had been silly to suggest they try to have a reprieve from this. They were human, and this was... natural. Wasn't it?
His head tipped into the press of her fingers against his cheeks, and he dropped one of his own hands in direct response, catching at her hip to tug her more flush against him. The kisses, he made sure to keep giving, working his way from the juncture of her shoulder and her neck and up toward her ear instead.]
You're better at that sort of thing.
no subject
Riza started to question as to exactly why she invited Roy over for tea in the first place. She had hoped for conversation, to talk about what was happening to them, to plan as to how they will deal with this in the morning once the cocktail's regalia came off, and the uniform came back on...
Being human, and behaving as such -- not killing machines doing someone else's bidding, or beasts living in fear of those higher in the food chain -- had been a luxury for the longest time. But now, letting their hands and lips go as they pleased, letting their breaths and the movements of their bodies do he talking, it was indeed far more a natural thing than formalities.
With his kisses and the command of his hand, it was almost as if Roy had stolen the sharp retort that Riza had prepared for him. She bit the inside of her lip to stopper a sound more pleased than plaintive, her hands gripping his, and her hips pressing against his once more in response. What he was doing to her was sweet torture. The next instance she opens her mouth was when she turned her head, half blindly seeking Roy's lips; and if it weren't his lips, she would be content with the side of his face, the line of his jaw. Taking her turn to speak against his skin -- ]
And yet you distract me. You're good at that.

Whatever they were, whatever they were to become, whatever they had been - they deserved this. The alcohol swimming through both their systems wasn't going to make for an incredibly decent excuse for either one of them, but he had a feeling that even in their brief discussions they'd managed to come to a conclusion.
This was theirs for now, however long 'now' was supposed to last for - that didn't matter.
What mattered most to him as of this very moment, stood in Riza's kitchen, supposedly waiting for the tea to steep, was this closeness. The touch of her fingers against his cheek, the way their hands locked together at her waist, the feeling of her body pressed so encouragingly against his own.
His response to the turn of her head was to reward her with a kiss, slightly awkward given the angle, but brief thanks to the interruption.]
Forget the tea.
[His mumble wasn't a demand, more a suggestion, because his hands already started moving, along with the rest of him. A tug of their linked hands, and he made a point of keeping her close with his other hand even as he turned her toward himself - head dipped to be able to kiss her again, feet shifting in the hopes that the counter would serve as a good place to press her against.]
no subject
Roy's suggestion had gone unanswered, as she answered to another kind of bidding. The counter set against her backside, she brought her hands to either side of his face to pull him close and meet his kiss. Having known each other for so long, Riza will always figure out what Roy wanted -- in a few words or none; and she trusted that he will do the same for her. Her lips move against his, only to pause and lean her brow to his -- ]
Then I'll brew another batch. [ -- and to give him a smile. ] Later.
[ The tea can wait. Everything else can wait as they claimed the moment for themselves, as she claimed his lips once more. Riza's fingers found Roy's collar, seeking to loosen up his tie. So close like this, and she could feel his warmth against her -- he might need to be more comfortable, she thought. ]
no subject
By now he was sober enough to know, understand and accept the consequences of this. 'Later' could mean as far forward in the future as the following morning... they didn't necessarily need to share their thoughts about this thing that was happening with words, this sufficed.
Roy almost fell toward her as fingers slid across his cheeks, happy to indulge in kisses that seemed to grow gradually more intense. Broken only by those words that had sort of sealed the deal in his head. If she wasn't in the process of loosening his tie he might have been a little more cautious about assuming that he would he here by the morning, but even now - if she backed off, if there was the slightest hint that they weren't thinking along the same lines he would always stop.
He liked to make his intentions well known, either way - which might have been the reason why his hands were drifting, stopping about her hips for only a moment, fingers curling into the fabric of her dress to make it bunch and maybe even tug it up sightly.]
no subject
'Later' was for when they could actually sit down properly and enjoy the drink -- which was very much looking like the morning over breakfast -- but 'now' was what mattered. Their kisses mattered, heated and needy as they were; their touches mattered, their hands suddenly busy over skin and clothes. It suddenly felt so easy to let all inhibitions go and let things progress without any more care but...
Riza had taken to undoing the first two buttons of Roy's shirt, finally undoing his tie, as his hands tugged up the skirt of her dress. Having her legs bared, and feeling the fabric of his pants gaginst the skin of her thighs made her pause. She brought a hand down to grip one of his -- not to stop him; in fact the gesture hiked her skirt a little further up. Once again, she stopped in her kisses -- ]
Right here?
[ Idly, Riza did wonder if kitchen trysts were truly doable, or if they were better left in the realm of fiction. While it seemed to be another moment of "not here", she did mention she had better furnishings than he did.
Her gaze briefly swept to the skin by Roy's collar, up to his lips, then to his eyes. She always sought his agreement, but in the cases that he had other plans, she trusted whatever decision he came to. ]
We can move.
no subject
Roy couldn't look away, although the briefest glance down at the hand that curled around his wrist was warranted, he managed to catch the way she looked at him, saw the truth in it and knew this wasn't one sided.
By the time she'd vocalised her suggestion his mind was reeling. This was happening. Seriously, if they did this he knew there was no going back, because it was just as significant for him as it was to her, despite the things people said about him.
Gently he let his fingers uncurl from around the fabric he'd taken hold of, smoothing it down slightly and dragging his hand back up again, around her side until he could slowly ease her away from the kitchen counter, taking a step back as he went but making sure that the contact they made never broke.]
... To?
[Because, even now-- she might simply have meant that perhaps they could spend some time on the couch... kissing, or maybe the next place for them was her bedroom.]
no subject
Riza eased into Roy's guidance, her gaze only briefly pointing down as she patted the velvety fabric of her dress down, and she sought to catch his look again. She appreciated him leaving the choice to her, and she knew that Roy truly wasn't the incorrigible womanizer he made his image out to be, in the same manner that she wasn't 'Elizabeth'.
He had made his intentions clear, but she realized that she might have needed to make hers clearer. Her arm slid to his back, as her other hand slipped his tie off of his neck. Riza spoke with a hint of sheepishness -- a smile and a coloring to her cheeks -- realizing what her answer implied. They might not be teenagers, but this level of intimacy was something she held onto with certain amount of importance.
Though who else to share it with, other than the most important person in her life? ]
We'd be more comfortable in the bedroom, I believe. Come.
[ With a coaxing tug at Roy's side, Riza leads the way out of the kitchen, into the hall, and into her bedroom. ]
no subject
He knew Riza well enough to know that she was providing him with a solid grip on her desires. It made his breath catch in his throat, but they weren't teenagers, and this was less about doing, and so much more about who they were, together, to each other.
The small exchange had opened the flood gates, and just the sensation of his tie being pulled from around his collar made him shiver, the colour of her cheeks was important to note, the smile - one he quietly hoped to be privy to more frequently.]
Of course--
[Roy needed little encouragement, but rather than be tugged, he dropped his hand to slip into hers - letting his fingers thread into the spaces between her own, not that he could keep his hands off her for very long, and letting her move ahead of him for once meant he could slip his free hand around her waist again, managing to fall into some kind of step right behind her as she led the way.]
no subject
... not that it'll stop her from glancing over her shoulder with a smile, and giving the hand that held hers a gentle squeeze.
They had faced things much more frightening and life-threatening, and yet her heart was threatening to leap out of her chest. It felt as if they were walking to a precipice together and that soon, they would have to jump, and find out whether they'll fall to their deaths or fly. Regardless, her promise to him that day remained: that she will follow him unto hell. What had gone unsaid, and that she realized later, was that Roy would do the same for her, and that hell wasn't the only place they could follow each other into...
Riza almost started to regret ever choosing that dress and had the awful thought that it would burst at the seams if she didn't breathe. But breathe she did, a long and deep one, once they had crossed the threshold of her bedroom; and each breath was one more step into reclaiming and claiming what she believed they both deserved.
Riza turned to face Roy once more, tossing the tie onto her bed behind her, before tugging him by the collar to pull him in, kissing him as if he had become her source of air. For a moment, she dared him in her mind to tell her to stop, to order to stop, but she knew she will just retort with her usual pigheadedness. But at this point, she was confident in their tacit agreement, signed and sealed with each touch of their lips and, in Riza's case, with each button of Roy's shirt that came undone. ]
no subject
Everything she did felt right, and there was nothing he'd done so far that seemed to bother, disgust or amuse her - at least not that he could tell, and not in a way that seemed negative.
Maybe sometimes dark fairy tales had happy endings?
Thinking on it wouldn't make it happen though, but he didn't need to give much input for the wheels to begin turning. She made surprisingly quick work of his buttons, something that would have made him flinch if it had been anyone else. The scars of their trials, he was aware, were probably some of the most telling marks on the both of them, and he would expect that she too had steered clear of physical contact with others out of a need to protect the stories behind each one of them.
Roy reached out to grab around Riza's waist once he was pulled in, not just to be able to touch her again, but also to keep himself upright. The temptation to push her back mounted, but he held on - if only because falling would further impede the progress of their undressing.
It was definitely appropriate here for him to slide a hand behind her back, fingers finding the zip he'd felt earlier and moving along the line of it until he could catch the zip itself, he tugged - just once before stopping, perhaps caught up in the moment, but maybe, like Riza, he was waiting for the command to rewind all of this.

Riza resisted in pressing too much against Roy, despite the strong urge to do so. Her dress being unzipped made her shudder, but she didn't stop him. If there was anyone who could touch and see her back now, it was only Roy. The sensation had become foreign, however; indeed, she had refrained from intimate physical contact, despite Roy having freed her from the burden of the secrets her back held. It wasn't a story she was willing to share with just anybody, and she hoped that it was one that would end with her and Roy. It was such that Riza had gained the skill of being able to zip herself up and down without any assistance from others, and so the mere gesture of someone else doing it for her, gave her a tinge of nervousness -- which, very soon, gave way to relief, as soon, she will be free of that dress.
But that didn't stop her hand. She took advantage of Roy's pause to finally slip the shirt off of his shoulders and to have it join the tie on the bed, and her lips wandered down his neck. She might be around him day in and day out, and she cannot imagine her life without him around, but having him fill her senses like this was pleasingly indulgent.
As long as there were no complaints, then Riza had no reason to stay her hand. Her tone came almost as if she was reminding him of paperwork when she spoke against his ear -- ]
You're not done.
[ -- except that it held no bite of her usually dry humor. It held a touch of impatience and plenty of desire. ]
no subject
It turned out to be a good thing, if she wanted to rid him of his shirt, which took effort on both parts, but as soon as it was done he had his hands on her again, making sure to smooth over her body as he did.
Her words find meaning quickly, even with such a distraction - and it's clear he isn't quite off guard from the fact that he manages to come back with something quite so quickly.]
I was waiting.
[Now he was done.
Roy took his time about tugging that little zip down her back until it stopped, and very slowly he pulled away, taking a step back at about the same time to look her in the eyes. Not that he managed to keep up with it for too long before he was leaning in for another kiss.
Honestly, he was nervous now.
Once her dress was left, discarded on the floor at their feet he pressed forward again, catching around her waist whilst he leant forward, knee to the bed, free hand outstretched to be able to carry them both down onto the bed behind her.]
no subject
As if they were just walking in tandem to each other down the halls of East City HQ or Central HQ, Riza moved easily within Roy's grasp and with his guidance, laid down on the bed. It was impossible not to feel his heart beating against her own chest, and she knew what it meant: if he was nervous, then she will do her best to be cool and collected enough for the both of them --
But even that was proving to be difficult, not when she could feel more of his skin on hers, and his kisses were stealing away every single word she had on her tongue. When her hands ran up his arms, and down his sides, she felt each scar against her fingertips. Each of them held stories she knew all too well -- she had only seen them, but never touched them. It offered no pleasure to be reminded of her failures to protect him in those times, but now -- now that she can touch him -- she can offer more comfort, and more of her love. ]
no subject
They'd managed to prove to plenty of people that no matter what they did, they could do it perfectly together. Their fight against Homunculus had proven that to anyone who had seen them, and earlier in the night they might have been able to see that it extended to dancing, but there was no one who needed to know how well they worked like this.
He was nervous, sure-- but this meant something to the both of them that he didn't want to sacrifice thanks to insignificant things like his concerns for whether this was right or not. Not when he knew deep down in the very thing that was thudding in his chest, that he loved Riza, and in counter - that she felt the same way. They certainly wouldn't be here if it wasn't the case, but in the same breath it wasn't something he would be admitting vocally tonight. Or come morning. At least he didn't expect so.
Instead, he was too busy enjoying the moment, and hurrying it along too. There would be plenty of time for touching, and other things that had been crossing his mind constantly since they'd broken apart for 'tea'.
Safely on the bed, he could make a start on his own clothes - reaching down toward his trousers to try and unbutton them wasn't easy when you were trying to kiss someone, and by the third attempt to unbutton the top of them, he was pulling away with a low curse.
no subject
They worked together in the office, they worked together even when apart, and there was therefore no reason that they couldn't work in the bedroom together. She too, wanted to prolong that kiss as much as possible, but there were still obstacles in her way. She could sense Roy's urgency, punctuated by their lips parting again. ]
Here-- get up and hold still.
[
useless B(Riza sat up and took it upon her hands to help him along, skillful fingers doing quick work of buckles, buttons and zippers. But her fingers betrayed a bit of a tremble -- one of anticipation, inexperience, and perhaps, a bit of her innate shyness -- as her knuckles brushed against him intimately through fabric.Riza wasn't the type to torment (until she learns how to) and she was known for her efficiency; and so, with a look in his eyes and soft smile, she started to clear the rest of Roy's clothes off of his waist and past his hips. She certainly hadn't undressed a man in this context before, and undressing people for treatment was a wholly different matter. ]
no subject
Right now, there were far more pressing matters at hand.]
No, it's-- I can get i--.
[Oh. Okay.
His mouth worked wordlessly whilst she worked his pants undone, stomach twitching from the moments that her fingers brushed his skin, and a sound that he did his damnest to try and hold back escaped as her knuckles brushed at him, which about the same time that he shifted his attention. Neither of them were naive enough to be surprised by his reactions, but he was hard, and if he thought about it too much, he could quite possibly ruin tonight.
By the time she'd started to pull his clothes down over his hips he'd caught his hand in her hair, brushing it back over her shoulder and letting his palm brush at her cheek for a moment. The gesture didn't last long, not with the way she was looking at him, but he would return to this eventually. Honest.
Shuffling back off her bed, he tugged his pants off from the hem down, letting them, and his boxers rest in a pile at the end of the bed. He could have let himself give thought to his state of undress, but it was only fair that he help her out of the remainder of her clothes first, hm?
Not that it was something they needed to rush, and his fingers were slipping around her ankle on his way back toward her before he could stop himself, one hand holding himself up by her hip whilst the other trailed up the inside of her leg, only pausing when he'd made it to the top. A kiss to the space just above her belly button marked his stopping point, and he let his fingers shift to press against the fabric of her pants, daring to press his thumb against her through them. Payback? Maybe.]
no subject
It wasn't that Riza was staring, but her eyes served their purpose and she did take a good look at Roy undressing, and finally, undressed. She couldn't look away -- she shouldn't. Her eyes served him, and in this moment, her eyes were for him alone. There was something to be said about a superior officer undressing before his subordinate, but at this moment, there were no ranks, no uniform -- just them -- friends, soul mates, partners.
His touches ignited and reignited her desires, and her eyelids close briefly at the contact over her cheeks and with his fingers in her hair.
As he moved to rejoin her, Riza made a little questioning noise, as if sensing that question in which she would answer, yes, his help in getting her out of her undergarments would be greatly appreciated... and her leg tensed, but only in the brief moment that the caress of Roy's hand registered. She bit the inside of her lip to temper a pleased little sound over where he had dared to place his kiss. She had leaned back on her elbow, because she didn't want to just close her eyes and let things happen -- she wanted to see, she wanted to remember.
Her other leg brushed against Roy's side, up and down in a slow and lazy tempo, as she released a shaky breath, and she looked at him, in mock accusation that was softened by amusement and arousal. Payback, was it?
She brought a hand up to brush through his hair, the pads of her fingers pressing against his scalp before relaxing to touch at his cheek. She gave him a light pinch, before lightly raking the back of her nails against the side of his neck. ]
no subject
Just as he liked her eyes, there wasn't much he didn't like about her, but those eyes were his main concern in those moments she took to really look. Not that he minded, he knew he had nothing to be ashamed of, or embarrassed about in front of her. That, and he was big headed enough to feel assured of himself in other ways.
The sound she made as he crawled up the bed made him glance up briefly, holding his gaze there because he couldn't afford to look away, not if she was going to start making those kinds of pleased expressions and maybe even noises.
Riza's mocking look only had him grinning, something that reached his eyes but the smile was gone when he bent in again, pressing another kiss a little lower. His intention had been to hold her gaze, but the fingers in his hair, the touch of his cheek, even the pinch was enough to make him close his eyes. He could let her keep doing that for a while and not bore of it, he was sure - but there were other things, things he wanted to do with her, for her.
So he pressed another kiss, just above the line of her underwear, before hooking both sets of fingers in the top of them, tugging lower and following the gesture with light kisses.]
no subject
As he went lower, the less of him she could have in her grasp, but her fingers still played in his hair, catching the short strands between roughened digits with involuntary tugs. Seeing Roy move down between her legs gave her an illustration (among many that she has considered and will still consider, certainly) of what "erotic" meant. She couldn't touch him as much as she wanted with her hands for now, but when she could, the curve of her calves and the arc of her feet caressed his sides.
Lower and lower, each kiss and touch of breath sent subtle tremors through her skin, her mind momentarily spinning in anticipation of what she thought he will be doing, and it made her well aware of her own state of arousal. It took some mind to register as to what Roy was doing with her underwear and, with her ankles placed firmly on the bed, Riza briefly lifted her hips carefully, and will shift her legs accordingly to help him along.
-- and, oh, the constriction about her chest was becoming uncomfortable. Once her pants were clear: ]
Ah-- wait, please.
[ -- she will just take a moment to sit up and remove her bra, reaching easily behind her to unhook the satin-and-lace garment. As she did so, she couldn't help but look shyly at Roy. She didn't share the same confidence he had about his body, but one look from him and she was reminded that she was important to him, and no judgment would be coming from him. ]
no subject
Roy's ego was already big enough for himself, and the entirety of the Amestrian Army but a little more wouldn't do any harm would it?
Except before he got to where he wanted to be, moments away from the big event and she had to stop him. There might have been the quietest intake of breath, but he knew she would have heard it, if not seen the way his shoulders rose with the gesture.
Riza was naked by the time she was done though, and the choice that lay before him was a difficult one to make. He'd teased enough though, and eventually he leant back in, slipping one hand up her body to catch in the dip of her waist, gripping gently.
Mostly, he just wanted her to touch him, in any way and if it meant she needed a part of him closer to her, he would give it. It wasn't a selfless act, not in the slightest, and neither was the way he pressed a kiss to the inside of her thigh, hoping to encourage movement because his next stop was right there between her legs. A slow, light touch of his tongue, teasing mostly. He was no alien to this, and it might just have shown in the way he explored, eyes finally dropping away from hers to focus on the task at hand. Not that she needed any more encouragement, now that he was here.]
no subject
If she hadn't heard Roy's little impatient breath, she knew with his body language. As she set her bra aside, she gave him a knowing little smile -- an apology, and a promise; that she wasn't out to make him wait any longer. She knew that Roy Mustang hated waiting. That was the last bit of delay she would have him suffer for tonight -- because she figured she couldn't suffer any more delay herself.
As he came down again, she moved as if she knew what he wanted her to do. She laid back down, doing her best to keep her eyes on his as much as she can, encouraging, accepting. Her hand found his on her waist, and she moved her thighs at his kiss, letting him carry on what he had intended to do.
-- and once his tongue touched her, his name fluttered out of her lips with her sighs, and felt as if a signal flare had been lit and shot up through her body. The concept wasn't strange, but to experience it first hand was a whole different matter. His teasing held her on the edge of relief and tension, and she felt that he could keep her there for as long as he liked. Somehow she felt that he was looking for what pleased her, and thus she didn't hesitate, voicing encouragements as to where she liked it most. Her hold on his hand tensed, her other hand gripping the sheets, but her hips lightly shifted, inviting. ]
