Ze Cocktail Partay Aftermath!
[Sometimes, things work out perfectly well.
They'd managed to successfully say goodbye to their hosts, upholding an incredibly professional appearance at least until they left the building. He might have snuck in a few touches of his hand against Riza's over his arm on the way home, and the conversation took on a much more relaxed air.
He paused just outside her apartment, glancing up-- and then back at her trying to gauge the mood because he really wasn't sure if it was something she still wanted to do. This was a big deal, even if it was just tea.]

She made a sound that bordered on plaintive and pleased. Granted, she might just have been a little too hasty there -- but who wouldn't be, after what Roy did with his mouth? Needless to say now, he wasn't just a good orator. Any tension she felt wasn't brought by awkwardness or amusement. It was brought by Roy pushing her to that point, and, great tease that he is, left her hanging. ]
Mm...
[ More of an affirmative to that question, as Riza's fingers combed up Roy's hair, and her lips ghosted over his ear with a slight touch of her tongue. She arched against him, pressing against him, a silent show that, yes, she wanted him, and she wanted him now. ]
Need you ask?
[ With a light tug of his hair, her lips brush against the side of his face so as to find his lips, and so as she can spell out how much she desired him.
Riza thinks she can live with this kind of "stalling", It allowed her to enjoy Roy's skin on hers, his warmth, and his heart beating in time with hers. Once she released her kiss, but not quite pulling away, just enough for their noses and foreheads to touch -- ]
And how are you doing?

The moment is slow, steady - easy even, and he really hopes that the rest of the night follows in a similar vein, at least for the most part.
Sex has never been like this. Roy's used to quick, almost meaningless, very occasional nights with people who mean little to him. His hands sweep back up from her hip, over her stomach and slipping down to the bed by her waist, keeping himself steady. Lips ghost hers again, only briefly because he's not really sure how he's doing. Good. Amazing. Better than he can ever remember, yet the words just don't formulate. Not properly.
At least she's not in pain, and no apparent discomfort. He trusts her enough to have told him if there was a problem, so it's only natural that he would rock his hips slowly against her, wearing a grin whilst he kept his forehead pressed to hers.]
You can tell me later.
[If ever there's an opportunity to twist something, you can be assured he will take it.]

Besides, she knew that he would always come back to her. And now he is right here, just for her and no one else.
This time, she caught the movement of his hips with an upward stroke of hers. Her hand clenched in his hair, while her other hand stroked up the lines of his arm, to rest at the curve of his neck and shoulder with a firm grip.
Riza's eyes took on a brief look of mild surprise, before giving in to a smile that easily said, "You are incorrigible." She chuckled lightly, closing her eyes, the tension from earlier gradually easing off, allowing her to enjoy the closeness and warmth, and to give way to a sweeter, slow-burning tension. ]
I'll take care to give a fair evaluation.
[ After a quick little nuzzle, her lips found the corner of his mouth, the curve of his chin, and the lines of his neck. Her thumb and her lips gently stroke the gentle pulses against his skin, as her leg lazily slides up against his side. ]

That it would come this fast and this intense when it finally happened was unexpected, but not unwanted. Things had eased away from the tense, curt conversations they'd once shared in the office to bring down suspicion and slid very easily into something akin to a normal working relationship.
That it had dissolved into this, so many people might just say, was just the way it was always going to go.
Of course, they would have been shot for it.Roy was definitely beginning to lose his patience, even with the smart remarks. It was just slow, and maybe they'd needed it, but fingers in his hair, lips on his skin, being with her like this wasn't enough. In a smooth gesture he nudged at her cheek, pushing her head aside carefully with every intention of moving in to kiss her neck, perhaps with not so much finesse as he was capable if the wetness was anything to go by, but every few kisses, he punctuated one with a nip of soft skin.
It was just a catalyst. His hips rocked once more, twice, a third time until that wasn't enough either. His hands shifted again, sliding down toward her hips to tug her onto him, the change into something meaningful quite rightly joined with a moan against her neck.]

Roy and Riza had their chances -- numerous missed ones. They were perhaps part of the reason as to why this had become so intense; that for each missed chance was a piece dropped in exchange for what was to come. Riza didn't believe in destiny, but she believed in balance and give-and-take. It wasn't that it would never happen, but it was just a matter of time, what with the bond and affection they share.
Thoughts of what shouldn't happen, what they shouldn't be doing, were all tucked away. There was no room for them in the here and now of the deeper physical manifestation of their affections. All of Riza's thoughts were of Roy and of each breath he took, each sound he made...
With a lingering breath against Roy's skin, Riza gave in; there were no words as she hummed pleasingly at the attention Roy poured on her. She found no reason to complain for the lack of finesse, as each kiss and touch of his lips only served to further fan the flames he had ignited in her --
-- and even more so with each stroke of his hips against hers. She was reminded of what she was denied of earlier, and Riza found herself desperately wanting it. Her hands roamed his skin, finding anchor about his back, as her body followed his guidance. The need for more finally drew her to hook a leg about his waist, urging him closer still. ]

Far too much was happening between them all at once. What felt like the final tying of their relationship as something tangible and honest - finally was enough to get the adrenaline pumping as it was. The addition of a little alcohol in his system, the wonderful evening they'd had, and the teasing he'd subjected not only Riza to. It all added up to something that was far more intense than he'd expected.
A leg around his waist was a reminder that he had a job to do, much less taxing than the work she usually laid out for him, and far more rewarding. His lips against her neck fell useless with the effort of not only moving with her in this, but thanks to that pressure not to let this end before it even begins. He chooses, instead to pull his head back from her, pressing his forehead lightly against hers.]

But Riza wouldn't be Riza if she didn't hold an ounce of worry, and those thoughts crossed her mind: fleetingly enough so as not to be too distracting; but poignant enough to summon that bit of possessiveness she very seldom indulged in. So much of her life had been devoted to elements bigger than her, so maybe, just for this moment, she can be selfish.
Having Roy face to face once again allowed her to look him in the eye, and to send a message of her claim on him. Each upstroke of her hips meet his, and release was undoubtedly coming for her, strong like wildfire. Once again, she found his lips, spilling ecstasy onto his tongue, his name all but drowned as her body felt like it was being drawn tight like an archer's bow, and all she had to do was let go... ]

He wouldn't let those thoughts occupy him, not whilst he was being kissed and met with every thrust of hips. Hearing his name on her tongue might have been something that he'd though about on occasion, but hearing it for himself was something else.
A soft grumble escaped him as he kissed Riza, but this was fast becoming something old, rather than something new. A hand pressed to the bed beside them gives him the leverage he needs to pull away slightly, sucking in a breath to try and contain himself, but it's not enough. Roy's forehead presses down against hers again, gently but he can't quite keep his eyes closed, not with the way she feels around him, suddenly hot and heat and--
Finally his breath holds, letting himself succumb to the weight of the pleasure he's experiencing. It shouldn't be a new feeling, but it certainly feels different to what he's used to. Perhaps sex really was different when it was with someone special like this--]

With his forehead against hers, she gripped tight on his back, his shoulders, she bit her lip hard, only allowing whimpers to pass. And then, the look she gave him was wet, and her lips parted to release hitched breaths, as she came undone around him.
Soon, she was on her way to steady her breathing, her limbs finally releasing all of their tension, her leg sliding off of Roy's waist and allowing her weight to rest heavily on her bed. Her hands still lingered about him, nuzzling his face and letting her lips just brush whimsically. She figured he might feel just as spent as she did, and soon her arms were around him -- not constricting, so as to allow him to lie down if he wanted to.
Riza hasn't forgotten that she said she would give him a "fair evaluation", but that can wait until she has recovered her breath -- at the soonest. ]
i am so sorry. /sobs
Her whimpers send a light tingling sensation through his arms and upper body, and being privy to those sounds, the gasps, the look on her face the sheer pleasure is a reward he didn't think she would bring her walls down far enough to allow him to see them.
It's a testament to what this means, he could suppose - but he supposes nothing. There is nothing but them, and it's bliss.
With his breath coming hard and heavy, and his chest rising and falling with each one - arms barely holding his weight as he hangs above her, watching for a moment. She's beautiful, and his. Right?
Eventually, he took the chance that loose arms around him gave, shifting slowly enough to give her the time to move if she so wished, but rather than slide down onto his side he dropped back against the bed beside her, letting out a slow breath and finally turning his head to look over at her - smiling easily.]
then I shall sob with you as I apologize in turn '''orz
She held his gaze, briefly wondering if she was seeing him any differently after all this. But was it supposed to be different? There were so many truths as to how she felt about him that she had to temper and bury. There were still many things that must remain unsaid. And yet, there was no one else in the world to whom she can unveil her soul to. He was the only one who can witness what she would usually hide from everyone else -- her weaknesses and her desires -- and so, yes: she is his, as much as he is hers. That was happiness enough for her.
Riza shifted just so Roy can make himself at ease by her side. With a last sigh, she turned to her side, facing him, and with a gentle but shy smile, she leaned her forehead against his shoulder, bringing her arm up to his. She might have recovered her breath, but her heart still beat strongly.
After a moment she looked back up, humor in her eyes. ]
Ready to receive your evaluation?
Lol. It's fine!!! <3333
It's a surprise to feel this content about the situation. There's no inherent need building in him to get up and get dressed, to get under the covers, to find an excuse to leave, nor to struggle for a topic of conversation.
Instead, he lets her come to rest beside him, shifting only when she makes her intent to lean against him known, an arm slowly pushing under her body to slip over her waist, holding her there against his side.
That smile, despite the shyness in it feels like one of the most open gestures she's shown him in years. They're fine here, in their little bubble.
Only, when his eyes meet hers again, the contented smile disappears and perhaps the slightest hint of pink tinges his cheeks.]
Well, of course.
|D ♥♥♥
And yet it puzzled her some. Her giving him an "evaluation" was more of a jest than anything, and she certainly was not in any position to give him any kind of score; not to mention, that would be in poor form.
Riza made a soft amused sound. She was settled quite nicely against his side, warm and content. ]
Well... [ Thinking of what to say, not only made her look at the immeasurable things that kept them together, but also made her think of the more grounded: that they just shared something more basic and tangible, and definitely very, very pleasant. Her smile was sober, but nonetheless loving. ] I'm happy.
[ She took a breath, and as she anticipated what she will say next, and how much it all means to her, her heart hammered in pace. ] I'm happy that I'm with you, and that you're with me.

She was warm after all, warm, and right there by his side - tangible and real. This was real, they were real. Not something drawn of his most intimate dreams and desires - in innocence as well as in something intense and sexual.
Riza has always managed to bring him right back to where he needed to be. Away from the precipice of his anger, down from the ledges he'd pushed himself to, and most regularly to come back to the paperwork that so frequently filled his desk.
This was different, it was simple and yet so important. She was right of course, as she often was. It was the most important thing was it not? They could have this, the rules of the military might find themselves needing to bend to meet their needs now - but things were different, and they'd proven to themselves and the world that they were capable of putting bigger things first.
So she earned herself his quiet for the most part, a smile that he rarely wore even when it was just the two of them.
He wasn't drunk, not by a long shot. Perhaps the hormones riddling his body had a lot to do with it, but the words had never been truer from anyone else. Slowly he shifted to be able to rise up onto his elbow, free hand reaching out to touch her cheek, coaxing her to look at him as he bent closer, with every intention of kissing her - not that he needed his gaze to flick between her lips and her eyes much more to convey that.]
I love you.

-- and for a moment that seemed to have stretched on to forever, Riza gazed as if puzzled -- but it was more of her trying to recall as to when exactly was the last time she had heard him say those words?
The opportunities were far apart and far too few, in her opinion. There were eyes and ears that followed -- preyed -- on them. Tonight however, was further proof that the world is changing, and that indeed, whatever efforts and sacrifices they have sowed in the past, they now come to reap their fruits.
With the physical high subsiding, her heart gives way to a different kind of high -- relief, joy, satisfaction all in one package. Her emotions then bid her to smile in return. With her hand over his heart -- ]
Will you say it again? Please.
[ She's not drunk either, but her request was far less because of her misunderstanding, but she just wants to hear his voice saying those words again. ]
no subject
It's not the kind of silence that he's afraid of. He can hear the beat of her heart although it's more likely because he can feel it, but her breathing is leveling out rather than hitching, his own equally so.
Although, there's almost too much time between his words and her smile. It stretches his anxiety, and tendrils of worry begin to try and worm they way through his veins but then there's that look on her face, a hand over his chest and he lets out a soft half-laugh, leaning closer to kiss the corner of her mouth, her cheek, the side of her face, settling by her ear.]
I love you, Riza Hawkeye.
no subject
Anticipating her request to be granted, she closed her eyes...
And when he said it, she released a breath that she barely realized she held. In a sigh -- ]
Roy...
[ She shifted, gently coaxing her partner to a position where she can touch his face and look him in the eye. ]
I love you.
[ Her face showed all of the gladness to be able to say those words to him. For all those times they have only allowed themselves the most subtle of gestures and looks, being able to speak her heart to the man she loves made it all feel complete. ]
no subject
Roy would have looked at her without the nudge, but he let her guide him all the same, lips curling up into a very comfortable smile as the words left her mouth.
There was nothing else to say, not really. It was there, in those three words and nothing would change it. Right now, here, in her bed he vowed never to let a thing come between them, no matter what the challenges, and with that quiet promise to himself he tipped his head closer, pressing his forehead against hers.]
no subject
She closed her eyes at the contact, revelling in the closeness. Brushing her lips to his, she mouths those words again -- only because she can -- before pressing in for a brief kiss. ]
Lights out?
[ She's loathe to remind him verbally that they have Things To Do in the morning. Besides, Riza knows when to figuratively pour a bucket of ice over Roy. ]
no subject
A chuckle rises from him with little effort, and he very slowly drops back down into the space beside her, letting his hand sweep over her stomach in the process, settling right in the middle over her navel.]
Lights out.
[Not that he's sure he'll be able to sleep. Tomorrow - they will have their tea and he supposes, there are plenty of other things to be doing too. A sly smirk curls the corner of his mouth up but he presses his head to her pillow, turning his face toward it and inhaling slowly.
It was silly to think that her bed sheets wouldn't smell of her.]
no subject
Roy's touches coaxed more soft sounds of amusement, as she took a short moment to reach out and switch off her bedside lamp. As she slid back closely beside him, she smiled amusingly. She was tempted to fight and stay awake, just so she can watch him sleep in her bed, but he'll need her eyes alert, as always. ]
Good night, Roy.
[ ... and now her sheets will smell of him, too. ]
no subject
His only real fear right now was that he would wake up in the morning and things would be different, but there was no waiting it out, so he settled closer to her, let his lips move to brush against her cheek, and his hand relax across her.]
Goodnight, Riza.
[It didn't take him long to fall asleep, but once he'd fallen deep enough there was little that would shake him. Whatever alarms Riza had set made him grumble, and he'd moved enough during the night to have no qualms about turning his back to her, groaning as he did.]
